Selby’s Junior School Council is an important vehicle for student voice. Representatives are elected each year by their classmates. They attend regular meetings and share suggestions and ideas from their grades about fund raising possibilities and how to improve our school or tackle particular problems they think need attention. Representatives are also responsible for reporting back to their grades after meetings, designing and displaying posters around the school to promote upcoming activities, speaking at assemblies and presenting the Aussie of the Month awards.
